“The very numbers you use in counting are more than you take them for. They are at the same time mythological entities (for the Pythagoreans they were even divine), but you are certainly unaware of this when you use numbers for a practical purpose. … numbers are symbols with an exceedingly important role in dreaming.”
In this online live and recorded seminar, we will explore the importance of number archetypes and how numbers may unconsciously affect our lives.
Archetypes are universal symbols or patterns that are present in the collective unconscious. Carl G. Jung felt that by looking at these archetypes, we could gain insight into the human psyche to better understand ourselves and others. Through Jung’s many years of work with patients and his collaboration with the physicist Wolfgang Pauli, he came to see that numbers play an “exceedingly important role in dreaming,” as well as understanding the cosmos and our deepest being. We will delve into this fascinating meaning of numbers in dreams as well as in other areas of life.
C. G. Jung has said that man “has need of the word,” but numbers are much more important. In essence, numbers are sacred and hold deep meaning. Marie Louise von Franz wrote: “Each individual has one frequency or one number and in order to get in touch with that individual we have to have the right number.”
Have you or someone you’ve known had a number that continuously appears in life? Together, we will discover the meaning, symbolism, and mystery of numbers in this fascinating one-day seminar online.
